Attendance Incentive Revision
As a result of the extension of second semester this school year for grades 9-11, the attendance incentive will be adjusted for only students in those grades. Students in grades 9-11 will be allowed a total of four absences to be counted toward the incentive for having final exams waived. The cap for 12th grade students will remain at three. This adjustment applies to Semester 2, 2013-14 only.
MAY TERM ANNOUNCEMENT:
Due to the number of snow days accumulated this year, our current semester coursework has fallen behind. In order to adequately cover the necessary material for our students, we are cancelling the May Term portion of this school year. Students will remain in their current semester courses until their last day of school. Further clarification of the Oxford High School Calendar is as follows:
- Seniors' final regular day: Tuesday, May 6
- Seniors' exams: Wednesday, May 7 and Thursday, May 8
- Non-student day: Friday, May 9 (Teacher professional development day)
- All senior activities: remain as scheduled
- Late start Wednesdays: May 7 and May 14
- Full day Wednesdays: May 21, 28, and June 4
- Final regular day (grades 9, 10, 11): Friday, June 6
- Exams (grades 9, 10, 11): June 9 and 10
Please note, study abroad opportunities, as well as other specially-scheduled events, will remain unaffected. Individual arrangements will be made for students participating in these events. Also, course transcription and graduation requirements will be adjusted so there is no credit penalty to students.
