A Candid Conversation with Deputy Secretary Tony Miller, U.S. Department of Education
While touring the Great Wall of China with Tony Miller, Tim Throne and Dr. Skilling had an extraordinary occasion to discuss many of today’s national and global educational issues. They had an invigorating give-and-take banter that covered topics like Race to the Top and national core standards. While they didn’t always completely agree on strategies, they were in absolute agreement on our biggest challenge of preparing students for a global market, changing 24/7. Oxford Celebrates Sister School Relationship

Students receive the gift of friendship and opportunity
OCTOBER 6, 2010--Dr. Skilling and Madam Wang Dong Yang, Principal of the International Division of Northeast Yucai School in Shenyang, China sign a Sister Schools Resolution. The sister school relationship will lead to student and teacher exchanges between the two schools as well as potential business internships and language camps. Both schools share similar educational philosophies, and both promote international thinking on the part of the adults and students in the school community.
