This is my first year here at Clear Lake Elementary and I’m looking forward to a wonderful year with my students. Before coming to Clear Lake, I have had experience teaching 6^th and 7^th grade science. I look forward to the new adventures that teaching elementary students will bring.
 

The past two years I taught 6^th grade science in a small town outside of Tampa, Florida. I enjoyed my time there however; I was ready to move back to Michigan where I grew up and attended Central Michigan University.

I am both honored and privileged to be your child’s fifth-grade teacher. I strive to create a classroom filled with high expectations, achievement, and positive mental attitudes while meeting the needs of all my students. I hope to create a fun, welcoming environment that encourages students to try new activities and be risk-takers.
 

Outside of the classroom, I love spending time with my friends, family and Black Lab named Dirk. I spend most of my free time enjoying the outdoors or watching and playing sports. I just finished building my cabin in the Upper Peninsula and I am very excited to start spending time there with my family and friends.
