Welcome to my classroom!
My mission as a physical education teacher is to help your child become comfortable with a variety of different skills so that he/she can confidently participate in activities that promote fitness and encourage healthy living for a lifetime. I hope to give your child positive and enjoyable experiences in my class so that he/she may choose to live a healthy lifestyle and develop the character skills every parent wishes their child to possess.
I am a 1995 graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy where I received a BS in Sports Medicine. I received my Masters degree in Physical Education from Wayne State University in 2007. I began my teaching career at De La Salle Collegiate High School in Warren, MI where I taught for five years. I then taught one year at North Sashabaw Elementary in Clarkston. I began teaching in Oxford in 2010.
I am married and have two daughters. My wife is a teacher as well. I enjoy spending time with my family and love to camp, hike, snowboard, and play all types of sports. I also enjoy coaching and am the JV lacrosse coach at Oxford High School.
I enjoy traveling, camping, hiking, snowboarding, and all types of sports - especially hockey and lacrosse. I also enjoy coaching and have coached the freshman lacrosse team while at De La Salle and even coached my daughters’ soccer teams. Most of all, I like to spend time with my family.
I am very excited to meet all of my students and look forward to having a great year!
