Graduation Alliance Program

If you are age 21 or younger and were unable to finish your high school diploma with us in Oxford, please consider our academic recovery program.  In partnership with Graduation Alliance, we offer previous students the opportunity to return to Oxford in an online learning environment to complete your remaining credits at your own pace, around your unique schedule.  This program is state-funded and entirely free to eligible participants.  If you have been considering completion of your diploma, please contact Todd Barlass, Executive Director of Student Services and Wellness, at (248) 969-9588 or [email protected].

What is Graduation Alliance?
Graduation Alliance is a network of teachers, coaches, tutors, advocates- and you- all working together to help you reach your academic goals. A free, internet-enabled laptop  allows you to work on your classes whenever and wherever you want. No matter what has prevented your success in the past, Graduation Alliance is your fresh start to a better future.

How does it work?
All you have to do to "go to school" is open your laptop- whenever and wherever is best for you. As soon as you do, you'll have access to your courses, which come from a catalog of more than 100 classes in a wide range of subjects. You'll also be connected  to a team of caring supporters, ready to help in any way. From tutors available anytime day or night, to a local advocate who lives in your community, your "grad allies" are ready to help you overcome any challenge.

What does it cost?
Nothing. Graduation Alliance is completely free to eligible students. We partner with your local school district, who covers all the costs involved.

How is it different than going to regular school?
Graduation Alliance students don't have to attend any campus classes and don't have to be "at school" during a set number of hours  each week. You make your own schedule- and as long as you meet or exceed your mandatory obligations, you can organize your day however you want. Successful students are those who can work independently but who also know how to ask for help when they need it. You'll always have access to a team of people willing to help you reach your goal, but it's up to you to accept that help.
