Jan. 3, Info. on Telephone Town Halls

Dear Oxford Families,

As our community continues to grieve and heal, we remain committed to providing regular updates to our Wildcat families to keep them informed. We also believe it’s important to listen to our families and garner their feedback and input as we carefully craft a plan to slowly and safely return to school.

To that end we are holding two telephone town hall meetings to share information on student safety, mental health supports and the return to school for high school students, and to answer your questions. We are also using these town halls to listen to your ideas and concerns and gather feedback.

Prior to the telephone town hall, you will receive a phone call at the phone number we have on file inviting you to stay on the line and automatically join the town hall via your landline telephone or mobile phone. There will be some brief remarks by Superintendent Tim Throne, Board President Tom Donnelly and key OCS staff. There will also be ample opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback.

The telephone town halls are scheduled for:

  • Wednesday, Jan. 5, 6 pm - 7 pm
  • Thursday, Jan. 6, 11 am - 12 pm

During the telephone town halls, a slideshow will be available at https://access.live/OXFORD but it is not necessary to participate.

I hope you can join one of our upcoming venues where we plan to engage our families, elicit feedback on our reopening plans and continue to heal as one Wildcat community.

Sincerely,

Tim Throne, Superintendent
Oxford Community Schools
