Dear Oxford Parents/Guardians,

Thank you to the dozens of parents and students who participated in our forums over the past few weeks and the several hundreds of you that competed the surveys. Your feedback will be invaluable as we continue to plan our way forward together. Many participants along with many community members have shared safety ideas over the last few months. Our district has a long-standing safety committee that meets semi-annually to review the districts safety products, protocols, and procedures. The committee includes representatives from the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, the Oxford Fire Department, the Oxford Police Department, local government officials, district security personnel, administrators, school board members, and parents.

As the interest is greater than it has been in the past from parents wanting to participate, we are formalizing this process. For parents interested in becoming a part of the safety committee please complete the linked application below. Limited spots are available, and preference will be given to those who have security and safety backgrounds.

The deadline for submission is May 6, 2022, at midnight. Applicants chosen for the committee will be notified by May 13, 2022.
