November 14, Changes to Bus Routes

Dear Wildcat Nation,

 

Unfortunately, we are experiencing staffing shortages within our Transportation Department.  We currently do not have enough staff to continue all of our existing bus runs. Therefore, we have no choice but to combine some of our routes.  Please know, in changing the routes we will not put more students on a bus than is legally allowed and students will not be permitted to sit in the aisle ways. However, some buses will be more crowded than usual. If your child will be impacted by a route change, you will receive a separate email communication from the Transportation Department today.

Our hope is this situation is temporary. If you know of anyone who would like to become a bus driver we welcome applicants to contact our Human Resources Department. Thank you for your understanding as we do our best to accommodate all of our students. As always, you are free to drive your child(ren) or find alternate transportation for them.

Additionally, to our Leonard families, Leonard Elementary will be back in session tomorrow.  I ask that all of our district families please continue diligently monitoring your children’s symptoms and keep them home if they are not well.
