Dear Oxford Parents and Caregivers,
With October approaching, please see the Parent University Workshops planned for next month. These workshops are planned to help equip our parents and caregivers with knowledge and tools to help their children thrive!
The Parent University October 2023 workshop opportunities are:
- Understanding Threat Assessment for parents and caregivers of students in grades DK-12 on Monday, October 2 at 6:00 pm in the Oxford Middle School Media Center.
- Love and Logic for parents and caregivers of birth through kindergarten age children. This is a five-week series on Tuesdays - October 3, 17, 24, Nov 7 & 14 from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm at Oxford Early Learning Center. OELC will provide childcare while caregivers attend.
- I’m Not Good at Math for parents and caregivers of students in grades DK–5 on Wednesday, October 18 from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm in the Lakeville Elementary School Media Center.
- Understanding the IEP for parents and caregivers of children birth to age 26 on Monday, October 23 from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm at the Oxford Virtual Academy District Learning Center.
- Creating Visual Routines for Home for parents and caregivers of students’ grades DK- 5 on Wednesday, October 25 at 6:00 pm at the Lakeville Elementary Media Center
Registration is needed for participation in the workshops and will close three days prior to the event. Please visit the Parent University page on our website to register or use the QR codes or links on the attached informational flyer. Just a reminder there is still time to register for the Sept 21 Cyber Safety workshop and the Sept. 27 What is Bullying? workshop.
OCTOBER PARENT UNIVERSITY WORKSHOP FLIER
A minimum of five people need to be registered for the workshop to be held. If a workshop needs to be canceled due to low enrollment, an email will be sent to the registrants.
