She gets to know each student’s individual hobbies and interests, creating a safe learning environment where every student feels comfortable being themselves, learning openly, and making mistakes. She connects with her students by sharing her own hobbies and passions. Her humor, openness, and vulnerability are comforting to students, allowing them to see her as more than just a 5th grade teacher, but also a lifelong friend. In addition to teaching Mrs. Blechel is actively involved in many building and district leadership teams, which contributes to her ability to adapt her teaching to meet the needs of each individual student! 🌺 Hana Night 🏀 Thursday, February 6th at Ian Smith Gymnasium (OHS) Join us as we honor Hana! Any donations made will be sent to the Hana St. Juliana Memorial Fund.

We are anticipating that all Oxford Community Schools will be in session tomorrow, but due to slippery road conditions, our buses will not be able to travel on dirt roads for pickups or drop-offs. If your child’s bus stop is on a dirt road, please make arrangements to transport them tomorrow to and from school if it is safe to do so. We are letting you know this evening to allow time for planning, and we appreciate your understanding. If you have questions in the morning, please contact the transportation department at (248) 969-1888.
