If you are still interested in registering your child to attend the Washington D.C. trip, we have 12 spots left. The registration window will close at 7am on Monday, August 11th. After this date, all food vouchers and airline tickets will be purchased, therefore no one will be allowed to enroll for the trip. Worldstrides will work with you on creating a payment plan that works best for you and your family.

We’re thrilled to share some exciting news with our community! Thanks to the generosity of a private donor, Oxford High School will soon have a brand-new football field! We’re excited about the positive impact this gift will have for students across multiple activities.
This incredible gift will cover the full cost of the field replacement, which means no district funds will be used for this project. The new turf will proudly remain our signature Wildcat blue, and this donation reflects a shared commitment to enhancing student experiences whenever possible without additional cost to our taxpayers.
Construction will begin right away. Our Athletic Director, Tony DeMare, is coordinating closely with coaches to ensure that practices and scheduling remain uninterrupted throughout the process. We are hopeful that the new field will be ready in time for our first home football game on August 29, but there is a chance the work may not be completed by then. If a location change is necessary, we’ll communicate those details with families as soon as possible.
We’re incredibly grateful for this generous investment in our students, our programs, and our district. Thank you for your continued support; we can’t wait to see our Wildcats take the field this fall!

Dear Families and Staff,
We want to let you know that there will be fire alarm testing at Oxford Elementary School on Thursday, July 17, and Friday, July 18, beginning between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. each day.
These are only tests, and no evacuation will be required. However, the alarms will sound throughout the building as part of the routine system checks.
If you or your child will be at Oxford Elementary for breakfast or attending the OELC Summer Camp on either of those days, please be prepared for the brief noise and activity during the testing period.

5th grade students from Lakeville Elementary visited OMS to do a test run of their Exhibition project. After the elementary students presented, OMS students were able to give them tips and tricks based on their experience with 5th grade exhibition!

🌟 2025 Staff Appreciation Week Shout-Out 🌟
OMS is incredibly fortunate to have Ms. Seawright as part of the OMS team. She is truly an invaluable asset—not just to the school, but to each and every student she supports. Her dedication goes far beyond the expected, and her compassion and commitment makes a lasting impact on all those that she interacts with.
This past year, my son faced some difficult challenges, and Ms. Seawright was there every step of the way. She not only advocated for him with his teachers, but she also took the time to truly get to know him. She created a safe, welcoming space where he felt heard, supported, and understood. Her weekly check-ins have been a lifeline for him, helping him stay on track both academically and emotionally.
As a parent, it’s incredibly reassuring to know that someone at school is looking out for your child. Ms. Seawright keeps me informed and reassured—she lets me know how he's doing and reminds me that she’s got him.

🌟 2025 Staff Appreciation Week Shout-Out 🌟
I am so thankful for Mr. Berezney from OMS (and his orchestra program) for helping my girls navigate through the middle school years. He encourages and challenges the students to do their best, offering a multitude of opportunities, even outside of the typical school day (Festival, honors orchestra, fiddle club, string camp, trips, summer meet-ups, outside orchestras/camps, etc.). He has a great balance of pushing the students to show the young musicians their technical capability, but he makes sure "having fun" is still a top priority. He does not expect perfection, but demonstrates how a positive attitude, practice and hard work can pay off in the end. I am constantly amazed at the musical growth of the groups between each concert- and their personal growth because of the friendships fostered and life lessons learned in his class. Having a constant, positive, and inspiring role model throughout those middle school years is/has been a blessing for our family. I also thank him for taking on the additional responsibility of adding a high school class to his schedule this year. Over the last 8 years, our family has benefited from his guidance and teachings and I am so thankful we are part of the Oxford Orchestra family.
