🌟 2025 Staff Appreciation Week Shout-Out 🌟 Mrs. Bausack from OHS has had an incredible impact on all three of my children, teaching them statistics in a way that was both inspiring and engaging. While two of them already had a passion for math, one of them wasn’t as enthusiastic, yet all three absolutely loved her teaching style and the class. Her ability to make complex concepts accessible and enjoyable truly set her apart. The knowledge they gained in her class will undoubtedly serve them well in their future careers—whether as an environmental researcher, doctor, or an actuary. You made the hallways feel a little safer and the heavy days a little lighter for Madi and so many students. Mr. Ryan, thank you for your care, your commitment, and the way you always show up—with compassion and understanding. The relationships you are building with students and staff are creating a safe space. You have both created a lasting impact…and one I hope continues for this district and community. Addie made a fleece blanket for Daisy from the golf team that Daisy still uses ! Ryan is very present and visible and available to students. He has authority without being authoritative. Ryan leads by example, sharing lessons from life that the students respond to. Addie looks forward to seeing Mr. Ryan and values his work at OHS. Mr. Ryan takes a genuine interest in Addie and her sports and her academics. He is proud of her when she does well. Most of all, Mr. Ryan makes Addie feel safe at school. 🌟 2025 Staff Appreciation Week Shout-Out 🌟 We really appreciate Mr. Bigelow, OHS Principal, because he’s always approachable, genuinely cares about the students, and works hard to create a supportive and positive school environment. What makes it even more special is that he was also the K–5 principal for our kids at Clear Lake, and now, all these years later, he’s been able to be a part of our son’s final year at OHS and our daughter’s junior year. 🎉 Congrats to Oxford RoboCats Team 2137! 🎉 🤖They competed at the FIRST Championship in Houston, TX, making it to the semifinals in the Milstein Division. The Career and Technical Education Department is seeking advice and assistance from key business and industry partners in order to keep our state-approved CTE programs up to industry standards.👩‍🔬🚑 We would like to invite YOU to become a member of the CTE Advisory Committee, which meets approximately two times per year. The purpose of the Advisory Committee is to collaborate with one another and to provide recommendations for the continuous improvement of our CTE programs. Oxford High School currently has 9 programs and 4 Early Middle College Programs: - Mechatronics - Digital Multimedia - Automotive Technology (Early Middle College) - Marketing (Early Middle College) - Computer Programming - Radio & Television Broadcast Technology - Business - Health Science - Finance (Early Middle College) - Information Technology (Early Middle College) The Spring Career and Technical Education Advisory Committee Meeting will be held in the morning on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, from 8:15-9:45am in the PAC lobby. The OHS Leadership Class selected Crossroads Day School as the recipient of the funds raised during Charity Week this year. Thanks to their incredible efforts, a total of $13,034 was raised! These funds will go directly toward enhancing student learning at Crossroads Day School. Earlier this year, Crossroads' principal, Don Maskill, delivered a presentation to the leadership class telling them that, if Crossroads was selected, the money would be used for PBIS initiatives, microscopes for science class, resources for the library, field trips, and more. He stated that he'd also love to add a flagpole and flag by the girls' school. Mr. Maskill and the Crossroads team are all so grateful and appreciative of the work the OHS students, staff, and school community have done for Crossroads ❤️ What an outstanding way to make a positive impact—great job, Wildcats! 🐾 #OCSWildcats #WorldclassWildcats

🏆At Oxford Community Schools we are honored to have 4 AMAZING Acorn2Oak grant winners! This grant is for Oakland County young dreamers who deserve the resources to make their visions real. 🌟OHS Students Abubakar Touray and Kuumba Touray, and OES students Addi M. and Elin P. represented Oxford in 4 unique and impressive ways! Abubakar Touray was honored with the Acorns Award for his active role in planning and attending the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Jr. National Convention. His involvement in connecting with aspiring engineers and representing his community at a national level is commendable!👨🏾‍🔬 Kuumba Touray earned recognition for her dedication to gymnastics, showcasing incredible discipline and passion. Her success is truly inspiring!🤸🏾‍♂️ Addi M. was awarded an entrepreneurial grant to launch her own slime business. What a creative and fun venture!🖌️ Elin P. was recognized with a community service grant for her thoughtful initiative to create and deliver care packages to those affected by the Oxford Tragedy. 🎉Congratulations to Allison Miller for being OHS's Support Person of the Year! 🌟Allison is such an incredible support to both students and staff in the testing room. She shows up every day with a smile, ready to tackle anything that comes her way. She’s friendly, organized, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure everything runs smoothly. She helps with transition assessments for IEPs, keeps track of student accommodations, and follows up with students who need extra time or have been absent. Allison makes sure projects and tests are completed and returned to teachers on time, all while staying connected with staff and spreading positivity.
