🌟 2025 Staff Appreciation Week Shout-Out 🌟 Mrs. Schwartz is the definition of a good teacher. She has gone above and beyond to be someone who is trustworthy, uplifting and makes kids excited about learning. Mrs. Swartz is one of my daughters trusted adults at the high school. They share a very personal and special connection. They were together on November 30. And I don’t think I’ll ever have words great enough to Thank her for keeping my daughter and other children safe that day. Mrs. Schwartz has always been someone that my daughter could go to when she was feeling down or had something exciting to share. She has always been a listening ear and had great advice for my daughter. She also makes learning exciting and is the reason my daughter has found her passion in life. I just want her to know how much she’s loved and appreciated by us and several others! You’re amazing and we thank you for this journey and all you’ve done! What always mattered was how Jesse was doing. This past year, his class was the only one that Jesse would go to OHS for. We switched all the others to OTECH and OVA. 🌟 2025 Staff Appreciation Week Shout-Out 🌟 Mrs. Gillett from OHS has truly changed our daughter’s path in life through her medical foundations class. This intensive course is packed with medical terminology, career exposure, real-world skills, and realistic educational experiences. Our daughter has benefitted from Mrs. Gillett’s medical education and that she treats the students with a professional level of respect almost as though they are already college students. Addie has embraced this class, often reading her Gray’s Anatomy course book at home and explaining what she learns to our family. He is very good at reaching his students and he has an excellent sense of humor. Plus, he tries to make his subject matter interesting for his students. Jack will miss him very much! -Jennifer P. 🌟 2025 Staff Appreciation Week Shout-Out 🌟 We are incredibly thankful to Mr. Yinger from OHS for the profound impact he had on both of my children during their time in AP Chemistry. His enthusiasm and passion for the subject truly brought Chemistry to life, making it not only accessible but also exciting. His influence was so lasting that he even became a part of one of my son’s college essays! Mr. Yinger’s dedication not only fostered a deep love of science in my children but also helped shape their future paths—one pursuing environmental science research and the other working toward a degree in biomedical engineering with aspirations of becoming a doctor. While two of them already had a passion for math, one of them wasn’t as enthusiastic, yet all three absolutely loved her teaching style and the class. Her ability to make complex concepts accessible and enjoyable truly set her apart. The knowledge they gained in her class will undoubtedly serve them well in their future careers—whether as an environmental researcher, doctor, or an actuary. You made the hallways feel a little safer and the heavy days a little lighter for Madi and so many students. Mr. Ryan, thank you for your care, your commitment, and the way you always show up—with compassion and understanding. The relationships you are building with students and staff are creating a safe space. You have both created a lasting impact…and one I hope continues for this district and community. Ryan leads by example, sharing lessons from life that the students respond to. Addie looks forward to seeing Mr. Ryan and values his work at OHS. Mr. Ryan takes a genuine interest in Addie and her sports and her academics. He is proud of her when she does well. Most of all, Mr. Ryan makes Addie feel safe at school. 🌟 2025 Staff Appreciation Week Shout-Out 🌟 We really appreciate Mr. Bigelow, OHS Principal, because he’s always approachable, genuinely cares about the students, and works hard to create a supportive and positive school environment. What makes it even more special is that he was also the K–5 principal for our kids at Clear Lake, and now, all these years later, he’s been able to be a part of our son’s final year at OHS and our daughter’s junior year. 🎉 Congrats to Oxford RoboCats Team 2137! 🎉 🤖They competed at the FIRST Championship in Houston, TX, making it to the semifinals in the Milstein Division.
