This Saturday, over 160 DK through 3rd-grade students and their families joined us at Oxford Elementary School for the First Lego League Explore Expo, a fun-filled day of STEM activities! 💡🤖. Students got hands-on with driving robots, button-making, and even decorating LEGO glasses—just a few of the exciting activities they enjoyed! 🛠️ Teams showcased their amazing creations and were thrilled to check out the incredible robots from our middle and high school robotics teams. Special shout-out to our older students for also stepping up as volunteers at each station to help make the day even more special! Our OHS CTE Health Science students had a fantastic opportunity to tour different health programs at OCC Southfield. During their visit, they engaged in hands-on experiences at various stations, including: SIMS Lab, Surgical Processing, Surgical Tech, Ultrasound Tech, Radiology Tech, and Nursing PCT, and the CNA Lab! This immersive experience provided our students with valuable insights into the health science field and a glimpse into their future careers.⚕️ #OCSWildcats #WorldclassWildcats

🥇🤼 Huge congrats to our wrestling champs! 🤼🥇 We had an amazing weekend at states with some big-time achievements. Junior, Cheyenne Frank, made history as our first-ever female state champion! Not only did she take home the title, but she also hit her 100th win—what an incredible milestone! Junior, Gavin Lewis, placed 3rd, showing off his hard work and dedication, and senior, Luke Johnson, finished 2nd, wrapping up his high school wrestling career with an awesome performance! #WorldclassWildcats #OCSWildcats

What an unforgettable season for our boys varsity basketball team! With a 21-1 record in the regular season, they fought hard in the state tournament this week but came up just short against Davison. While the loss was heartbreaking, we couldn’t be prouder of how they handled themselves both on and off the court. 🎉 Surprise! 🎉 This morning, we had the honor of recognizing Mr. Steve Ruch as Oxford’s nominee for Oakland County Teacher of the Year! 🏆💙💛 The OHS administration and district leadership team surprised him in class, creating a memorable moment for a teacher who has dedicated 37 years to inspiring students. Mr. Ruch teaches CTE, Marketing, and DECA to students in grades 9-12, bringing real-world experiences into the classroom and equipping students with essential skills for success. Known as a "legend" among his students, Mr. Ruch doesn’t just teach marketing—he lives it by guiding students through DECA competitions, helping them build leadership and business skills that set them apart. Under his mentorship, Oxford students have excelled at the state and national levels, and his dedication has made Oxford’s DECA chapter a standout. Beyond the classroom, Mr. Ruch is also a mentor, coach, and role model. Whether he’s leading students in DECA, coaching football, or simply offering words of encouragement, he continuously demonstrates what it means to lead with integrity, respect, and passion. His impact stretches far beyond Oxford High School, shaping students’ futures in ways that last a lifetime. Congratulations, Mr. Ruch! OHS student, athlete, and mentor Nolan Mauser took time this week to connect with our middle school students, showing the power of positive role models. As part of their "Personal Best" unit in 6th grade ELA, students have been reflecting on the qualities that make someone a great leader. OMS students, including Chase Clark, look up to our OHS Wildcats as role models, and today was a great opportunity to see that leadership in action. Not only did Nolan take time to meet with Chase, he also spoke with our 8th grade WEB leaders about the importance of leadership and how even the smallest interactions can make a difference.
