🌟 2026 Staff Appreciation Week Shout-Out 🌟
Mr. Wright's bus ride is the highlight of Hunter's day! They share in their love of sports and he is always sharing updates with him on what's going on in the sports world. He even went out of his way to get Hunter a signed card at an event he went to. Also he gives them candy on Fridays 😀 Mr Wright always greets us at 6:15 am with a friendly smile and asks Veronica how she is doing. He bought an entire box of fundraising chocolate from her last year! He's just all around such a blessing and the kids are very lucky to have him in their daily routine.

Mr. Wright makes all the students on his bus feel special. He handles problems, and disrespectful students with grace and ease. He hands out thoughtful treats, and greets the students with a smile. This is not an easy job and he is ready and awesome. We live on some rough dirt roads so we appreciate the safe trip home he provides! Thanks for being so kind and caring going the extra mile to make our kids feel special and safe.

From the moment we met Mr. Tootalian at curriculum night, it was clear he was a truly dedicated teacher. On the first day of school, our daughter came home with so much excitement about how math relates to the world and her life, and this excitement has only grown as the year has progressed. She is always eager to share new concepts with us, as well as challenging games and puzzles that she learns in class. This is all because of Mr. Tootalian. He is able to teach his students how to break down challenging concepts into simple, understandable steps, and helps mathematics feel much more approachable for those who find it challenging. Mr. Tootalian’s love for the subject area and his students shines bright. It’s no surprise that he also dedicates many evenings, weekends, and summers to teaching math at various levels. Ms. Lee is an incredible teacher! She is so intentional with her instruction. I am very grateful for her detailed communication home each week. Her newsletters always give you a window into the classroom through pictures and explicit details about the instruction taking place in the classroom and how parents can support their child at home. She sends home books to read with students almost every week and is willing to work with parents by sending home instructional support tools. I know my son will be very well prepared for kindergarten because of her experience, intentionality and care!

We are inviting parents and guardians to review the OCS Facility Standards (Draft) and share feedback using the form below. These standards will help guide our upcoming Facilities Master Plan, which serves as our long-term roadmap for maintaining, evolving, and optimizing district facilities.
The draft is approximately 14 pages. We understand this is a more detailed review than a typical survey, so we encourage participation from those who are able to take the time to thoughtfully engage with it.
We value your perspective and appreciate your partnership as we work to plan for the future of our facilities. Feedback will also be gathered from staff and the broader community to help inform this work.
