Mr. Berezney creates such a warm and welcoming environment for students to learn and appreciate music. His enthusiasm is contagious and he glows with pride while conducting his students. His love of music makes him an amazing teacher and mentor. We are so fortunate that he also took on the high school orchestra this year.

Mrs. Gibson Marshall has been a kind and welcome soul from
The day my then first grader transferred to Oxford to the soon to come day of graduation. Lucas has always felted welcomed and loved by Mrs.
Gibson Marshall. We had a rough sophomore year, but if you ask him about the first day of Junior year, he will tell you it was giving Mrs. Gibson Marshall a hug on the first day of junior year. I can’t thank her enough for being an amazing person.

🌟 2026 Staff Appreciation Week Shout-Out 🌟
Ms. Pilecki starts and ends my daughters day at OMS. She comes home daily talking about how nice Ms. Pilecki is. My daughter often had trouble asking teachers for help last year but Ms. Pilecki makes her and everyone in the class feel comfortable, safe, and accepted. I know advisory tasks can be a lot extra for our teachers, but Ms. Pilecki make sit a great experience for everyone. She celebrates their successes, and starts their day off with all the important announcements, and allows students time to work on the things they need. I appreciate that Ms. Pilecki can be a trusted adult for her and she gets to see her everyday in the morning and after school! Thank you for being a positive light in Mila's day!

It has been a joy to have Ms. Ebeling as a teacher for our son this year. Taking on a new role in the building can not be easy but she did it with excitement and grace. She has made a comfortable and fun learning environment in her classroom and her love for each and every student is apparent and inspiring. We feel fortunate that Clear Lake has brought Ms. Ebeling into our lives.

We feel so lucky to have Mrs. Collins as our son’s second grader teacher this year. It’s been incredible for the kids to see that she’s a published author; she leads by example and makes them excited about writing and the writing process. What we appreciate most, though, is how much heart she puts into building relationships. She has gone above and beyond to help our son work through all those big and small feelings, and because of her, he’s walked into school every day feeling confident. From teaching the kids about fair play to making sure they’re always challenged to do their best, Mrs. Collins just has a way of making every student feel supported. She’s been such a positive force in his life, and she will always hold the most special place in our hearts. We are extremely thankful for her love, support and guidance this year!

A caring and safe teacher plays a vital role in creating an environment where students feel secure, respected, and supported each day. Mrs. Watson consistently demonstrates patience, kindness, and attentiveness, ensuring that every child feels seen and valued. She fosters a classroom atmosphere built on trust, where students are encouraged to express themselves, ask questions, and grow both academically and emotionally. Her calm and reassuring presence helps students feel comfortable navigating challenges, knowing they have a dependable adult who genuinely cares about their well-being.
Beyond academics, Mrs. Watson prioritizes the safety and emotional health of their students, maintaining clear expectations while modeling respect and empathy. She is proactive in addressing concerns, communicate openly with families, and create a structured yet nurturing space where children can thrive. Her dedication goes beyond the classroom, as she takes the time to understand each student’s individual needs and support their development. This kind of teacher not only educates but also inspires confidence, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning.

I wish everyone could see what a “day in the life” of a Clear Lake family looks like. Each morning when we arrive, we’re greeted by warm, smiling faces that set the tone for the entire day. As we pull up, Miss Quick is there making sure our kids safely cross in front of the buses. Just a few steps later, Mr. Matt and Mrs. Niemi are outside, welcoming each child with kindness and joy. At the door, Mrs. Gordon greets everyone with a smile, often alongside Lucy, the sweet therapy puppy who brings instant comfort and happiness to the kids!
And if you’ve ever walked into the front office as a parent, you know how special it is. Mrs. Bebout and Mrs. Bigelow somehow manage to juggle a million things at once, yet they always make you feel seen, known, and cared for. They know your name, your child, and exactly where to direct you, without ever making you feel like you’re just another task on their list.
Then there are the teachers, the heart of it all! Whether your child is in Mrs. Haviaras’ class or Mrs. Berger’s class, like mine, or any other classroom in the building, you quickly realize how lucky we are! Hearing my daughter come home and share how Mrs. Pizzo, Mrs. Ramos, and Mrs. De Vries all checked on her in a single day speaks volumes. Seeing my son light up because Mr. Matt gave him a high-five in the hallway reminds me just how much these small moments matter.
Every single day, I drop my children off feeling confident, supported, and deeply grateful. The care, attention, and love poured into our kids is nothing short of remarkable.
To every staff member, admin, teachers, specials teachers, support staff, lunch staff, you are the heartbeat of this school. It truly wouldn’t be the same without you! You have made the biggest impact on our family and we are forever grateful!

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Mrs. Herrick. From the very beginning when my children started with OVA in middle school, she has been genuinely helpful, deeply dedicated to her role, consistently responsive, and approaches every interaction with warmth and friendliness. Her professionalism and positive attitude make her very easy to work with, and it’s clear she truly cares about her students’ growth and success. We have felt so fortunate to have her support over the years as my kids transitioned to high school and into OSEC and classes and activities at OHS. She is both a fantastic mentor and role model and we are grateful for the positive impact she had had on our children. OVA/OSEC is so lucky to have her as part of their team.

Ms. Hayward always has students staying after and coming early to her classroom. She has built a classroom of comfort, safety, and quality learning. Her Spanish club she started this year is thriving and I enjoy hearing all the students enjoying the activities she plans for them. She finds time to check in on her coworkers and makes her students feel valued, important, and special.

The fire department is on-site and actively working to determine the source. We will continue to share updates as more information becomes available.

Mr. Don is the best! Our bus stop is at our driveway and every morning he throws out a treat for our dog. It's our dogs favorite part of the day now, every day he begs to go outside 5-10 minutes before the bus comes and sits in the driveway to wait for his daily treat. Our son has also been running late once or twice and Mr. Don waited for him to come out so that he wouldn't miss the bus. THANK YOU!!!!
