While the event is hosted at Lakeville, interested candidates can sign up to be a guest teacher, noon aide, substitute paraprofessional, or substitute administrative assistant for any district location.
We hope to see you there!

Last month, a large group of students had the opportunity to participate in the Business Professionals of America (BPA) Regional Competition at Saginaw Valley State University. Students competed in a wide variety of events, ranging from individual competitions to team events.
We are excited to share that 48 of our students qualified to advance to the state competition!
Our students did an outstanding job, and we could not be prouder of their hard work and dedication!

Dear Oxford Community Members,
Happy New Year! Last month, a survey was sent to all community members regarding the revision and development of our Portrait of a Graduate. Thank you to the many who took time to provide your input.
What is a Portrait of a Graduate (PoG)?
The PoG is an aspirational framework that defines the essential skills, mindsets, and competencies our students need to thrive after they leave our schools. It looks beyond traditional academic achievement to focus on durable, post-secondary skills that are demanded by today's rapidly evolving workplaces. These can include things like complex problem analysis, resilience, communication, and innovative thinking.
In short, it’s our commitment to preparing students to be the knowledgeable, critical thinkers, and communicators our community needs.
In addition to the survey sent last month, we will be holding two in-person sessions to gather the community’s input. We invite parents/guardians, staff, local business owners, and members of various industries to participate in these in-person opportunities.
Wednesday, January 28, 2026
Oxford Education and Innovation Campus (OEIC)
775 W. Drahner Road
Oxford, 48371
Two session options: 1-3 pm or 5:30-7:30 pm
If you are interested in participating, please register here. Registration closes on January 21, 2026.
Thank you for your partnership in preparing our students for a successful future.

Imagine if we gave every single person in this community a size 8 running shoe. That’s Equality—everyone gets the exact same thing. But for most of us, those shoes wouldn't fit. Some would be tripping, others would be in pain, and some wouldn't be able to walk at all.
Equity is making sure everyone gets a shoe that actually fits their feet.
In our schools, inclusion works the same way. We don't believe in a "one size fits all" education. Inclusion means:
- Providing a quiet space for the student who gets overwhelmed by noise
- Giving extra time to the student who processes information differently
- Using visual aids for the creative thinkers
When we meet students where they are, we unlock their full potential. Inclusion isn't a favor we do for a few; it’s the way we ensure success for everyone.

During the December Board of Education meeting, we celebrated Academics, Arts, and Athletics by recognizing outstanding students throughout our district. They have truly accomplished amazing things, and we couldn’t be more proud!

Dear Families,
We want to make you aware of a deceptive (phishing) email currently circulating that falsely claims school email accounts will stop working unless immediate action is taken. This message is not legitimate and did not come from Oxford Community Schools.
The phishing email originated from a compromised student email account, which allowed it to appear as if it came from within the district around 2:30 p.m on 12/29/25.
What the District Is Doing
During the holiday break, our Technology Department is actively working to remove this email from student accounts to prevent students from accessing the link or interacting with the message.
How to Identify This Scam
The message includes several common phishing indicators:
Urgent language such as "account deletion within hours"
Requests to "verify" an account using a Google Form
Instructions asking users to enter an email password
Generic sender information claiming to be "IT" or "Service Desk"
Oxford Community Schools will never:
Ask for passwords via email or online forms
Use Google Forms to collect login credentials
What Families Should Do
Do not click any links in the message
Do not reply or provide any information
Delete the email if it appears in a student's inbox
If you or your student clicked the link or entered any information during the holiday break, please contact the Technology Department immediately so we can help secure the account.
Password Reset Process During Break
Paul Senger (Paul.Senger@oxfordschools.org) is handling all student password resets related to this incident.
A parent or guardian (not the student) should email Paul directly to request a reset.
The email must include the student’s first name, last name, and student number to verify identity and secure the account.
Student passwords will be reset to an unknown temporary password to secure the account.
When students return to their building on January 5, they will need to see their building technology staff to reset their password to one known only to the student.
Thank you for your partnership in keeping our systems and student information safe.
Sincerely,
Matt Santala

Congratulations to Dylan Miller, who won 1st place, and Katie Allen, who earned 2nd place in the Oxford VFW Post #334 Voice of Democracy Competition!
To compete, Dylan and Katie wrote essays answering the prompt, “How are you showing patriotism and support for your country?” Post Commander Jim Hubbard and VFW Auxiliary Scholarship Chair Suzann Johnson visited to present them with medals and monetary awards.
We are proud of our Wildcats!
