🎪 Cirque Amongus brought the magic to Oxford Elementary today! This special event only comes around every three years, and it was worth the wait. Every OES student had the chance to participate, learning the fundamentals of circus art - juggling, balancing, and more! For the grand finale, the entire school performed using the circus skills they learned! We don’t have to tell you how much our students enjoyed it — just look at their faces! 😄. 🌟 2025 Staff Appreciation Week Shout-Out 🌟 Mrs. Phillips at DA is a wonderful teacher!  She has made my son's 2nd grade experience incredibly enjoyable.  She integrates creative activities into her lessons which we appreciate because it's engaging, and my son has a passion for art.  I often ask him how he would rate his day on a 5 point scale... 5 being the best day ever.  Not once has a day been rated below a 4. 🌟 2025 Staff Appreciation Week Shout-Out 🌟 Mrs. Huhta from DA has such a welcoming smile and wonderful personality. The one that you always hope and dream for every child entering school to receive. I knew as soon as we met Mrs. Huhta at pop in for popsicles she was going to be a great teacher for our son's first year of kindergarten. He made such an impact on my now 6th grade son, that my son chose to follow in Mr. Fletcher's footsteps and used his earned Paw Bucks to be a teacher for the day! Mr. Fletcher was an excellent STRIDE coach and encouraged the kids to do their best and have a little fun along the way. 🌟 2025 Staff Appreciation Week Shout-Out 🌟 Mrs. Schwartz is the definition of a good teacher. She has gone above and beyond to be someone who is trustworthy, uplifting and makes kids excited about learning. Mrs. Swartz is one of my daughters trusted adults at the high school. They share a very personal and special connection. They were together on November 30. And I don’t think I’ll ever have words great enough to Thank her for keeping my daughter and other children safe that day. Mrs. Schwartz has always been someone that my daughter could go to when she was feeling down or had something exciting to share. She has always been a listening ear and had great advice for my daughter. She also makes learning exciting and is the reason my daughter has found her passion in life. 🌟 2025 Staff Appreciation Week Shout-Out 🌟 Mrs. Harvey at OES was a student teacher in Jimmy’s fifth grade classroom last year and she will always be one of those teachers who made a lasting impression on him. She treated him as her own and made sure he knew he was loved and cared about which is more important to us than any academics. However, he also thrived under her teaching too! We saw him grow in confidence and we thank her for that!! Team Collins loves you Mrs. Harvey! -Danielle C. With her daily intervention and encouragement, Miles went from needing extra help, to reading the world around him — signs, menus, books, and more. It’s opened up an entirely new world for him, and he’s thriving because of her guidance. She believed in him, nurtured his progress, and helped him grow into a confident, independent reader. Ms. Hoke has helped her tremendously with her math, and, as of this year math is our daughter’s favorite subject!! It’s such a joy to see her so excited about her learning and diligent with her homework. Not only does she show her support and dedication for her students in the classroom, Ms. Hoke is also there for her students on the sidelines cheering them on. We were so blown away when Ms. Hoke showed up on a Saturday with her family to our daughter’s soccer game. She is so sweet and truly cares about her students.
