This week, over 100 awesome kids joined us for Camp Invention, a fun, hands-on STEM camp where creativity and imagination took center stage! Our K–6 campers explored, built, and invented every day—while our amazing 7th–12th grade volunteers helped lead the way.
Camp Invention is proudly run by local teachers who love helping kids learn through play, teamwork, and problem-solving.
Want to join the fun next summer? You can sign up now for next year’s camp at invent.org! Use promo code CAMP2026 to get $50 off if you register before September 30. Camp will be held the week of July 20-24.

We’re thrilled to share some exciting news with our community! Thanks to the generosity of a private donor, Oxford High School will soon have a brand-new football field! We’re excited about the positive impact this gift will have for students across multiple activities.
This incredible gift will cover the full cost of the field replacement, which means no district funds will be used for this project. The new turf will proudly remain our signature Wildcat blue, and this donation reflects a shared commitment to enhancing student experiences whenever possible without additional cost to our taxpayers.
Construction will begin right away. Our Athletic Director, Tony DeMare, is coordinating closely with coaches to ensure that practices and scheduling remain uninterrupted throughout the process. We are hopeful that the new field will be ready in time for our first home football game on August 29, but there is a chance the work may not be completed by then. If a location change is necessary, we’ll communicate those details with families as soon as possible.
We’re incredibly grateful for this generous investment in our students, our programs, and our district. Thank you for your continued support; we can’t wait to see our Wildcats take the field this fall!
This week’s theme was hair/hare. 🐰💇 Students are having a fantastic time exploring words in creative ways!

🍕🌳 Pizza in the Park was a huge success at OES this summer! Our Wildcat families came together for fun, laughter, and delicious pizza. Everyone had the chance to meet our new principal, Mrs. Murphy! Thanks to everyone, especially the OES/DA PTO, who joined us and made it such a memorable evening. 🐾💙

Dear Families and Staff,
We want to let you know that there will be fire alarm testing at Oxford Elementary School on Thursday, July 17, and Friday, July 18, beginning between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. each day.
These are only tests, and no evacuation will be required. However, the alarms will sound throughout the building as part of the routine system checks.
If you or your child will be at Oxford Elementary for breakfast or attending the OELC Summer Camp on either of those days, please be prepared for the brief noise and activity during the testing period.
Sincerely,
Oxford Community Schools

Each session includes a quick mini lesson, fun games, a craft activity, a take-home project, and a snack. We meet Tuesdays from 10–11 AM and would love for you to join us!

We hope you’re enjoying a fun and restful summer! While school may be out, we’re already planning ahead and would love your input. Our district is considering placing a non-homestead operating millage and a sinking fund on the ballot this November to support day-to-day operations, facility repairs, and school safety improvements. Before we move forward, we want to hear from our families and community members. We’ve created a short, anonymous survey that takes just 1–2 minutes to complete. Take the survey here (open through 7/21/25) - https://survey.k12insight.com/r/pziAxC If you know someone who lives in the Oxford school district but doesn’t currently have children in our schools such as a neighbor, friend, or relative, please feel free to share the survey link with them. We want to hear from as many local voices as possible. Thank you for taking a moment to share your thoughts. Your feedback will help guide important decisions for our schools and our community. Warmly, Oxford Community Schools
