🌟 2025 Staff Appreciation Week Shout-Out 🌟 Mrs. Francis from DA was the BEST first teacher for my son! She helped him in ways beyond measure by instilling a love of school and learning! She helped him socially and gave him skills he has needed to make friends and have confidence to tackle new challenges as he's grown beyond DK. My favorite part of her teaching is her understanding of what DKers need to succeed; like play, imagination, big movements and FUN! 🌟 2025 Staff Appreciation Week Shout-Out 🌟 Mr. Huller from OES has gone above and beyond teaching with my daughter, and therefore she has thrived tremendously in his class, more than she ever has in the last three years in a prior school! He’s amazing! And we’ve been truly blessed to have him as a teacher!! He’s not only Very caring, but also very attentive to her needs as a student with special needs. Mr. Huller has boundless enthusiasm and passion for working with special needs kids. If there is a concert, he is there. If there is a school outing, he is there. Mr. Huller even organizes group events for his students and their parents outside school. 🌟 2025 Staff Appreciation Week Shout-Out 🌟 I am so thankful for Mr. Berezney from OMS (and his orchestra program) for helping my girls navigate through the middle school years. He encourages and challenges the students to do their best, offering a multitude of opportunities, even outside of the typical school day (Festival, honors orchestra, fiddle club, string camp, trips, summer meet-ups, outside orchestras/camps, etc.). He has a great balance of pushing the students to show the young musicians their technical capability, but he makes sure "having fun" is still a top priority. He does not expect perfection, but demonstrates how a positive attitude, practice and hard work can pay off in the end. I am constantly amazed at the musical growth of the groups between each concert- and their personal growth because of the friendships fostered and life lessons learned in his class. Having a constant, positive, and inspiring role model throughout those middle school years is/has been a blessing for our family. I also thank him for taking on the additional responsibility of adding a high school class to his schedule this year. Over the last 8 years, our family has benefited from his guidance and teachings and I am so thankful we are part of the Oxford Orchestra family. 🌟 2025 Staff Appreciation Week Shout-Out 🌟 We feel so fortunate to have Mrs. McIntosh from Clear Lake in our lives! She brings joy and love to our son and the other second graders in the classroom every day. Mrs. McIntosh stepped up without hesitation to support the class when the teacher unfortunately had to be out long term. Her love for the kids is so evident in everything that she does and her energy is impressive! She nurtures a love for school through having fun and celebrating successes (pajama and stuffed animal parties are a favorite). We are so grateful that instead of what could have been several different substitutes, Mrs. McIntosh was ready and willing to step up to co-teach a group of second graders and give them what is sure to be one of their best years of elementary school. What always mattered was how Jesse was doing. This past year, his class was the only one that Jesse would go to OHS for. We switched all the others to OTECH and OVA. 🌟 2025 Staff Appreciation Week Shout-Out 🌟 Mrs. Gould from DA has been the most amazing Kindergarten teacher for our son! We couldn't have imagined a better fit! She made him feel comfortable immediately when the year started, and he was very nervous about starting a new school. She is a wonderful communicator, letting us know as much as she can about what is going on in class and what the kids are learning. She will send emails anytime something exciting happens or if she thinks our son seems a little off that day just to let us know. I cannot imagine having a more perfect Kindergarten teacher not only for our son, but our family. To show how much she means to our son he tells us if there is a day when Mrs. Gould had to go to a meeting and there was a substitute "Today was a rough day because Mrs. Gould wasn't there." We cannot thank Mrs. Gould enough for the wonderful care she takes of our son and all that she has taught him this year. We are all going to miss her deeply next year! -Alex & Tony G.
