Mrs. Alef was the best 3rd grade teacher we could have asked for. Lucas had a great year and learned to love reading because of Mrs. Alef, she was fresh and fun and she appreciated all his quirks. It’s hard to imagine he’s graduating this year.

Ms. Brennan is an incredibly kind, caring, and uplifting teacher. Goes out of her way even after work hours to share encouraging words and is in tune with her students. Goes the extra mile, and notices details in students lives even outside of school. We are so thankful for her kindness, compassion, and dedication to her students.

Mrs. Malburg is everything you hope for in a school counselor and more! She is incredibly caring, thoughtful, organized and communicative. Mrs. Malburg has been a reliable and trusted support for our daughter the past three years and has made a positive impact on our lives in many ways. We feel extremely fortunate to have gotten to know her and work with her during our time at the middle school.

Mr. Trombly has been a tremendous mentor, friend, teacher and coach for my son during his involvement in the CTE, Mechatronics and Robotics program at Oxford High School. Mr. Trombly has provided the perfect balance of kindness, directness, fun, motivation, humor and the extra nudge that has constantly inspired my son to reach beyond his current capabilities. Craig has also provided all of the required resources, time and extra support that has allowed our son and other students to realize their full potential. I am so appreciative to Mr. Trombly for the extra time that he spends supporting the high school OCCRA and FRC robotics programs in the evenings and weekends supporting the students, while sacrificing time away from his family. His unselfish sacrifice and his inspiration of the students deserves special recognition.

Ms. VanVoorhees is a fun and caring teacher! She brings a lot of fun and creativity to the classroom. I also greatly appreciate that she is involved in the PTO at OELC. She helps to plan and she attends the events. She was a Breakfast with Santa and at the Dance. It means so much for students and families to their kids' teachers and caregivers at school functions outside of the classroom!

Mrs. Malbouef was not the teacher we started 4th grade with. Lucas had waited “years” to have Mrs. Cardenas for 4th grade. With enrollment up another class was warranted, and we were so blessed to get Mrs. Malbouef. She was the right combination of love and tough. She pushed Lucas to think and work harder. Now he’s a senior. What a ride it was!
- Jennifer G.
Happy Teacher Appreciation to Ms. Malbouef!
Our fourth grader says she is kind and fun and always knows how to get kids motivated to try their best. We’re so grateful for the positive energy and encouragement she brings to her classroom every day. Thank you for all you do!

Mrs. Davis is always generous of her time and attention. She provides a weekly math zoom for her 5th grade students and even lets my 3rd grader join in. She does fun projects in her history class. In ELA, she expects quality work and holds the students to a high standard. She always responds in a timely manner to any email I’ve sent. The OVA Hybrid program is tricky when it comes to parental involvement - how much is too much, too little...it’s a tricky balance. Mrs. Davis handles it perfectly and never makes a parent feel bad for reaching out - even it its not “her job” to answer the question. She truly cares for her students and wants them to be successful and happy. Despite the MANY hats she has worn this year, she never has shown frustration. She has made this year wonderful for my girls and we are so thankful for her.
- Deena H.
Goes the extra mile to see that the kids are taken care of. Provides weekly zoom meetings that are fun and engaging. Fields all sorts of parent questions, even when it’s not her ‘area’. ALWAYS willing to help and pitch in. She’s just great and makes our Hybrid program run smoothly!

Mrs. Rondy goes above and beyond for her students. She has worked hard to build excellent relationships with them. My daughter is more confident in her academic abilities because of her and has grown so much this year. Thank you so much for all you do!!

Mr. Charlie is truly one of the kindest and most positive people our kids get to see every day. No matter if it’s a cold morning or a bright, sunny afternoon, he always shows up with a smile. Early mornings and late afternoons can be long, but you’d never know it—his positive attitude is always there, and it makes such a difference for the kids.
He greets everyone warmly and creates a friendly, welcoming environment on the bus. It’s clear he genuinely cares about the students and enjoys what he does. Our kids are so lucky to both start and end their school day with someone who brings that kind of positivity and care.
What really stands out is how much he goes above and beyond. There have been times when he has waited just a little extra for my son so he wouldn’t miss the bus, and that kind of patience and understanding means so much to our family. It may seem like a small gesture, but it makes a big difference in our daily lives.
Mr. Charlie isn’t just a bus driver—he’s someone the kids and some parents ) look forward to seeing each day. His kindness, reliability, and constant positivity truly deserve to be recognized. We are so grateful for everything he does.

During his time at Oxford High School, Connor completed 10 CTE courses, participated in Business Professionals of America, and earned multiple career certifications. He plans to study engineering and continue wrestling at Ohio Northern University.
While celebrating Connor, we also had the opportunity to cheer on Emma Castonia, who received a $500 Career Kickstart Award for her involvement at OTECH!
Congratulations to you both! 🎉

Dear OHS and OMS Families,
Oxford High School will dismiss early today due to a power outage caused by a downed power line on Ray Road east of Oxford Road. Ray Road is closed in that area, so please avoid traveling that route to or from the school.
Buses will arrive at OHS around 2:00 PM for dismissal. They will then travel to Oxford Middle School to pick up students there and begin afternoon drop-offs. OMS will dismiss at their regular time, and both OHS and OMS students will arrive home approximately 30 minutes early today.
Elementary dismissal times are not affected at this point.
Some afterschool activities may still take place, especially outdoor activities. Coaches and advisors will share updates directly regarding today’s schedules.
Thank you for your understanding,
Oxford Community Schools
