🐕‍🦺OELC Summer Camp kids had a fantastic FunD Run to support Leader Dogs for the Blind! We were joined by one Ambassador Dog and three dogs in training, making the day extra special. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make a difference!

🌞Daniel Axford students have had three fantastic weeks exploring math basics, place value, and shapes! We’re excited to continue with upcoming lessons on measurement, time, addition and subtraction, and money.

Each session includes a quick mini lesson, fun games, a craft activity, a take-home project, and a snack. We meet Tuesdays from 10–11 AM and would love for you to join us!

We hope you’re enjoying a fun and restful summer! While school may be out, we’re already planning ahead and would love your input. Our district is considering placing a non-homestead operating millage and a sinking fund on the ballot this November to support day-to-day operations, facility repairs, and school safety improvements. 🍎We’re excited to share that Dr. Jordan Dennis has been named principal of Oxford Virtual Academy for the 25–26 school year!  With experience as OVA’s Elementary Assistant Principal, Hybrid Learning Coordinator, and instructional coach, Dr. Dennis brings a strong passion for innovation and student-centered learning to this new role.  Current OVA principal, Mrs. Janet Schell, will continue serving OVA through her district-level leadership as Executive Director of Innovative & Alternative Programs.  #WorldclassWildcats #OCSWildcats

🏕️Level Up Camp, put on by the North Oakland Community Coalition, made for a fantastic week at Oxford Middle School! Campers explored how words can help or hurt, and learned the difference between being aggressive and assertive. They practiced working together and standing up for themselves during fun challenges like building spaghetti and marshmallow towers. We wrapped up the week with pizza, popsicles, and a special visit from the Oxford Township Fire Department. Thank you Fire Marshal Frantz and Lt. Racer for letting everyone cool off under the fire hose! What a great way to end a week of teamwork and growth. #OCSWildcats #WorldClassWildcats

🌿 Thanks to the Detroit Zoo Society’s Green Prize Award, Mrs. Bensman and the students at Leonard Elementary have been able to create and enjoy a blooming sensory garden! Painted rocks, chimes, bird feeders, flowers, and strawberries make it magical. There is a noise wall coming this summer! 📜The OVA Lighthouse Chapter of the National Honor Society held its 4th annual induction ceremony on June 9 at the Oxford Education and Innovation Campus. Students are invited to apply with a GPA of 3.3 or higher, and are selected based on character, service, and leadership. Congratulations to all our new inductees!
