As your child's Elementary Art teacher I strive to design an educational, creative, and nurturing art room where children are engaged in learning and inspired to express themselves. It's important to encourage students to work autonomously and explore their own unique perspectives as artists while still integrating inspiration and personal reflection. Gaining an appreciation for art and understanding its significance can help students recognize important artistic attributes that surround us every day in our world.

I have been teaching in Oxford since 2019, this is also the year I started up our after school Art Club "Creative Cats" for fourth and fifth grade students. Our elementary art students explore many creative outlets including ceramics, drawing, painting, printmaking, paper sculptures, TAB exploration days, collaboration projects, and technology days. We incorporate a sense of community in our art room by creating artwork that hangs throughout our school buildings and have even made artwork that went out to our local senior citizens.

When I'm not in the art room I'm often creating my own artwork at home, traveling, camping, and spending time with my family.
