Dear Wildcat families!!
The Oxford DDA is helping to coordinate a SURPRISE welcome home event for our beloved Ava Swiss (Swieczkowski) tomorrow, THURSDAY, AUG. 11th from her live performance on America’s Got Talent! The desire is for it to be a SURPRISE to Ava and her family, so we need your help in getting the word out... but NOT ON SOCIAL MEDIA to help ensure it is kept a surprise.
Here is the plan shared with us from the Oxford DDA:
There will be a vehicle for Ava and her family waiting at Rio in Lake Orion at 9 pm. Once they arrive, they will ride through downtown Lake Orion where she will be met with people holding signs to cheer her on and welcome her home. They will then proceed to Oxford where she will be met with our community holding signs and cheering her on. Ava will be brought to Washington Square (where the new mural is in town just north of Burdick) where she can visit with her supporters.
Anyone wishing to participate should start to arrive in downtown Oxford around 9:15 pm and line the streets, parade style beginning by Washington Square and then filling in south as more people arrive. If people can make and bring signs to welcome her home that would be fabulous for her to see as she is driving through.
