September 2, Details for Tonight's Game

Dear Oxford School Community,

We are excited to host our varsity football home-opener game this evening against the Birmingham Groves Falcons.  Current Oxford students and staff may use their school ID for free admittance.  There is no ticket charge for senior citizens.  All other spectators will need to pre-purchase a digital ticket through the GoFan App for admittance: https://gofan.co/app/events/647766?schoolId=MI10050

Bally Sports of Detroit will be televising tonight’s game as their game of the week and we anticipate numerous media to be reporting on the game.  With the game being televised, please know, the start time is later than usual. The gates will open at 6 pm with pregame events beginning at 7:25 pm and kick-off will be at 7:48 pm.

We recently learned from a nearby school district that a weapon was found on their school grounds during their high school’s football game last night. It was brought to the campus from someone unrelated to their school community. Law enforcement quickly apprehended the suspect and the weapon. Out of an abundance of caution and due to the large, expected attendance for tonight, the Evolv weapons detection system will be used at Wildcat Stadium this evening. All spectators will need to pass through the Evolv system to gain entrance.

Thank you all for your cooperation and I look forward to seeing our school community tonight at the game.

Go,Wildcats!
